La Traviata (Report) Really liked the podcast. Would have loved to have heard from the soprano who stood in for the "dream team" (but presumably ROH wouldn't let you.) Also wouldn't have minded hearing a few stage door vox pops from other fans - to give energy and immediacy of this exciting performance. But otherwise loved the warmth and excitement that comes across from Neil and Yehuda. They make you want to be passionate about opera. Their enthusiasm is infectious. |

LA Traviata (Report) yesssssssss they are awesome and have seen them perform, it is outstanding. for anybody who hadn't got the chance to see them, i really recomend to go see it and i heard they are going to be performing. Giuseppe Verdi's music animates the world of Violetta, a beautiful Paris courtesan who must abandon her beloved Alfredo to save his family's homor. La Traviata- the fallen one- is a captivating story of money, wild youth, true love and true love's sacrifice. Ravishing melodies, beautiful costumes, wonderfully colorful sets and a poewrhouse cast abound in Verdi's romantic opera. this performance will have english supertitles and be accompanied by a live orchestra. i am getting the first ticket, for more information go to the website www.visitqpac.org or call718-631-6311 |
