BrianinSutton 19 Jun 2009 at 5:12pm (Report this message) I didn't see the new Boheme but I've recently seen the new production of Cosi fan Tutte at the ENO and enjoyed it very much. The set is verging on the minimalist but the production indulges in the new fashion for filmed backdrops. This was particularly brave in the final act where the backdrop is of a small band in 18th century costume playing along with the ENO's real orchestra. Astonishingly, they remained completely in time with each other (as far as I could tell)! Oh - and the cast were good too! |
